This module is designed to help you better understand and manage your emotions, both on and off duty. It emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and acceptance of both positive and negative emotional responses, while focusing on developing honest communication patterns.
Meet the Trainers
Raul Rivas
Instructor: Law Enforcement
Raul Rivas spent 30 years in law enforcement, specializing in robbery investigations and serving on various task forces, including the FBI Safe Streets and ATF Violent Crimes units. He was an integral member of the SWAT team for 18 years and was notably involved in the Pulse nightclub incident in Orlando, Florida, where he received an Award of Valor for his bravery. Raul is also a co-founder of Trauma Behind the Badge, a webinar series that addresses trauma among first responders.
Monica Molt
Instructor: Clinician
Monica is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the founder of Prevail Counseling and Wellness. Specializing in therapy for adults with severe mental illnesses, she brings a unique blend of experience as both a fitness specialist and clinician, fostering a deeper therapeutic connection through awareness and mindfulness.
Monica played a key role as an active on-site clinician at the 2022 Tucson, Arizona, Ride of Peace of Mind First Responder Summit and continues her work with us as a clinical expert in our FRRP mental health training program.
